Possible: There is no proven scar healer out there that I am aware of, keeping the area clean and soft should help with decreasing the amount of scar build up. PUPPP: The itching associated with pruritic uricarial papules and plaques of pregnancy (puppp) may worsen immediately after delivery, but generally resolves by 15 days postpartum. Myth but use if help: Many of my patients swear by the benefits of vitamin e and so I generally don't dissuade them but there is very little science to support its use. It is probably the massage, (which we know helps scars) that is used to apply the vitamin e, which is actually providing the improvements observed. Massage with any clean oil 3-4 times a day. Silicon gel trips are morel likely to improve the scar. ...Read more
Neither: Silvadene is a very good medication for early open burn wounds in order to minimize infection and the potential for future scarring due to delayed healing. However, in and of itself, it is not an effective scar treatment once the wounds have healed. Although folklore commonly promotes the use of vitamin e, there is insufficient evidence to support its use un scar prevention. ...Read more
Possibly but...: Vitamin e cream is a common home remedy for scars but there is little evidence it works; still many people have found it helps- applying oil from natural e capsules may work better than cream. There are many other remedies that may help, including calendula cream (my favorite), peanut oil (advised by edgar cayce), tamanu oil, raw honey & aloe vera. See http://www. Earthclinic. Not effective: Acne scars are forever. Vitamin e oil in my experience is not good at treating these scars. For how to get rid of eczema scars and found out that vitamin E oil helps. But I was just wondering, is it good for all skin types?
I've stopped getting acne and was wondering if most of my acne scars would clear up on face with Vitamin E in 2 months by collage they're not big?
Not much: Unfortunately, most scar treatments offer only marginal improvement over doing nothing at all. The biggest problem with the area around the lips is the amount of dynamic motion and tension that is created on the wound, which lends to a problematic scar. I find the biggest factor is the amount of surgical debridement of injured tissue affects the outcome of the scar. ...Read more

Healing abrasion: It seems like 3.5 months is a long time for these marks to persist, but that time frame is very common.
