Shoulder pain, neck, back pain, hip pain. Xray normal except mild wedging t7,t8. A couple schmorl's nodes. Would trauma be clearly seen?

Maybe.: X-rays have miss rates where the finding isn't detected or can't be seen. X-rays are not very sensitive for soft tissue injuries such as ligaments or discs. MRI is more sensitive for soft tissue injury and may show marrow or structure changes from fractures.. CT or nuclear medicine bone scan may show missed fractures, not seen or visible on x-ray. X-ray remains a good screening tool. ...Read more

Can a "trigger point"/"muscle knot" appear as a hard lump on the thoracic spine itself? I have 2 hard "lumps" + sometimes dull pain there + elsewhere

Can a "trigger point"/"muscle knot" appear as a hard lump on the thoracic spine itself? I have 2 hard "lumps" + sometimes dull pain there + elsewhere

Screening evaluation: is needed to answer your question. A musculoskeletal screening evaluation may reveal the presence of a spine disorder, an important consideration in thoracic spine pain syndrome. Palpation of the muscles may reveal the presence of muscle trigger points which can refer pain to the other areas like the lower back. ...Read more

Hard non-moveable bump on spine b/t shoulder blades. More painful as day goes on- pressing in nerve? Vertebrae is sticking out? Dr can't see for weeks

Hard non-moveable bump on spine b/t shoulder blades. More painful as day goes on- pressing in nerve? Vertebrae is sticking out? Dr can't see for weeks

Need a bit more info: Lump on the spinous process would not involve nerve. Injury could cause a crushed vertebra and a "hump".TB is rare in the US but that could be a problem, Bone tumors are rare there. A sweat gland (seborrheic) cyst is more common and can be fairly fixed. In any case, a few days-even a week or two-delay should not change your prognosis. No doc for weeks sounds like poor care. See a nurse. ...Read more

Pain 2 inches away to left of tummy button , anxiety postnal drip with lump in throat , also left sided rib discomfort?

I am not sure if all: Of these symptoms tie together. Here is something you can do to help the post nasal drip. Neti pots can help. Mix ¼ tsp salt w 1 cup lukewarm water. More salt can also be used. Place solution in neti pot. Tilt head & pour solution into 1 nostril. Blow nose lightly & spit out any liquid that drains into throat. Repeat on other side. This can be done in the evening before you go to bed & again in. ...Read more

Grade2 Spondy L5/S1& spina bifida occulta. Low back pain on right.
What would cause sharp moving pain along inguinal ligament?
GP palpation normal

Inguinal ligament: Maybe the ligament itself is injured? But there is no pain with palpation? It is not likely to be from your lower back spondylosis. That would be more likely to affect your feet and calves. Here is some info about the inguinal ligament: http://sportsmedicine.answers.com/other-injuries/injuries-to-the-inguinal-ligament ...Read more
