Cluster Of Small Red Painful Bumps On Back
Small cluster of red bumps on back in 2 places. They are itchy and somewhat painful. Has had them for three days. Folliculitis? Calamine lotion?
Bumps unknown: If the bumps are itchy and painful, they could even represent a herpes outbreak. It's extremely difficult to determine what they are by your description. Calamine lotion at best just soothes superficially -- it will do nothing for the underlying reason why the breakouts are happening. ...Read more

Rash/itchy: If only on one side of your back, it could be shingles, and you should go see a doctor today to start the medication for it (there is a window of 48 hrs to start the meds). If the rash is on both sides of your back, it isn't shingles, and then, you could try an OTC hydrocortisone cream twice a day for up to 1 week, no longer. Avoid scratching the area. If it is getting worse, see a doctor. ...Read more

Foreign body or cyst: You have to rule out a foreign body which may have become embedded in the back of your heel, but there is more of a likelihood that it could be an inclusion cyst which can be painful. You should consider having it examined and biopsied which will basically take care of 2 things - it will remove the immediate problem and help determine what it is. Have small painful and itchy red bumps starting in middle of my spine. Nauseous, chills, night sweats. Bumps starting to go towards right side of back?
See dr: Sounds like an unpleasant infection. You are a bit young for shingles, which would give bumps to blisters on one side like you describe. I suggest you visit an urgent care center, your PCP, or if high fever or vomiting, perhaps the ER. Night sweats, chills, and nausea alone indicate an infection such as influenza or even tuberculosis. Please seek help ASAP. ...Read moreSee 1 more doctor answer
Depersonalization, headaches, mental fatigue and hard small red painful bump on back of head after smoking marijuana once, what could this all be?
?Lyme work-up: A painful bump that is red could well be a target lesion from a tic bite. If you live in an area of the country where lyme disease is endemic, you may want to pursue formal evaluation (blood test) to determine your lyme titer. Lyme can be accompanied by the other symptoms described. Rocky mountain spotted fever, recluse spider bite, abscess and even closed head injury would be other possibilities. ...Read moreSee 1 more doctor answer
