A large portion of causes are unexplained. I would recommend that you discuss this with a reproductive endocrinologist to discuss all options. ...Read more

Dr said i was having a miscarriage when my hCG stayed the same at 136. I experienced light bleeding and clotting?

28 HCG level, spotting, no clotting, no pain, RH shot given, mean no miscarriage everything will be okay? 5 wks.

Possible: hCG of 28 at 5 weeks is extremely low. Maybe your dates are wrong? hCG is impossible to interpret as an isolated study. The trend is the most important. I always order a second hCG 48-72 hours after the first. ...Read more

Can a RH shot when light bleeding no clotting just a light pinkish color, no cramping, keep you from having a miscarriage?

Can a RH shot when light bleeding no clotting just a light pinkish color, no cramping, keep you from having a miscarriage?

No: The Rh shot does not prevent miscarriage. It protects future pregnancies from Rh disease. What that means is that if you are Rh neg and get exposed to Rh pos blood from this pregnancy, you will have an immune response and you will make antibodies to Rh pos blood. In subsequent pregnancies, that antibody can cross the placenta and attack the baby's blood if it is Rh pos again, causing anemia. ...Read more

Can a miscarriage change your periods? It has been five months and my periods now include one day of heavy clotting (about the size of a golf ball).

Very unlikely: .A miscarriage 5 months ago should not have any affect on your menstrual cycle now. There are multiple options. Hormonal treatments such as birth control pills, Progesterone treatments and the Mirena (levonorgestrel) iud are effective reversible treatments that will help many people. There is also a drug called Lysteda that contains no hormones which will help others. ...Read more
