Both are anti-: Fungals great for "jock itch" but completely ineffective against a yeast, Candida Albicans that needs a different product. Nizoral/ketoconazole or monistat. I knwo of know facts supporting one over the other.

Rash and cream: I have not found one better than another. Some patients tolerate one better than another. Please do not combine. Could cause you and unwanted reaction. Hope this helps. Good luck.

Antifungal Treatment: Butenafine, an antifungal medication, is indicated for the treatment of Jock itch, athlete’s foot, and ringworm. Butenafine works by inhibiting the synthesis of ergosterol, an important component of fungal cell membrane. It essentially weakens the fungal cell membrane causing the fungus to disintegrate and undergo cell death. If properly used, butenafine is effective against the above fungal infections.
