Upgrade in treatment: It sounds like you may need an 'upgrade' in treatment if your candidal symptoms aren't any better. Sometimes I'll prescribe oral anti fungal medicines to rout this kind of infection. I would guess that's what you need - so please call your doc for a follow up. I've been using clotrimazole cream for thrush for a couple of days, doesnt seem to be helping and it's still really red, sore & itchy. is this normal?
Cream not best: The effectiveness of Clotrimazole for thrush depends on adequate contact time between the Clotrimazole and the tissue in the mouth.
