I have yeast infection. I have taken Diflucan (fluconazole). have a cream called Clotrimazole and Betamethasone Dipropionate...Will this work?? And how fast??
The cream you're: Using will ease your symptoms fairly quickly (~24 hours) but getting rid of the infection will take longer (up to 7 days). Recurrence, resistance and re-infection are very common with yeast vaginitis. - ( ...Read more

A: A rash that has been treated with all these therapies is very difficult to make suggestions for further therapies without seeing the rash. I would have expected a typical diaper dermatitis due to yeast to have cleared with the ketoconazole. I would be hesitant to use a stronger steroid under a diaper. I would suggest making an appointment with your pediatrician or a dermatologist. Emergency room doctors are generally not use to treating diaper rashes. Rashes just have to be seen to diagnose accurately and treat appropriately. ...Read more
Was prescribed lotrisone (clotrimazole and betamethasone) for a stubborn yeast infection under my breasts, its working great but how long is safe to continue use?
Lotrisone (clotrimazole and betamethasone): Lotrisone (clotrimazole and betamethasone) combines a very weak antifungal/antiyeast med with a very strong cortisone, so not certain what this med treats. When applied to body folds for even a few weeks, Lotrisone (clotrimazole and betamethasone) can cause thinning of skin, stretchmarks, dilated blood vessels, etc. For yeast infections under breasts, there are better antifungal (without cortisones) medications that would help. Please do not use this one. ...Read more

Without: Without being able to examine you, it's difficult to say what could be causing your rash. Fungal infections can be tricky and can take weeks to go away. That being said, if it has been weeks and you see no improvement with your current treatment (which should be effective for most skin fungal infections) you should call your doctor. They may want to take another look at it, possibly take a culture and depending on what they see, either keep you on the same treatment or change to a different medication. If your doctor is unable to figure out what it is, they may recommend a dermatologist (skin specialist) who may be able to help. ...Read more

Is clotrimazole and betamethasone dipropionate cream the same as diprolene (augmented betamethasone dip) cream?
