It's the latter causing ovulation. And the rest is history. God bless you! http://www.Ovulation-calculator.Com/clomid.Htm. ...Read more

Not used for this: While clomid (clomiphene) can induce ovulation and ovulation is what regulates periods, it is a poor choice for regulation of periods unless you are also trying to conceive. There are many of other ways to regulate periods and there have been some concerns about the long term use of clomid (clomiphene). Hope this helps. ...Read more
Yes: After taking Clomid (clomiphene) fsh levels may rise - this is the basis of the Clomid (clomiphene) challenge test (cct, also known as the ccct) which is a test of ovarian reserve or 'egg supply'. For this test you get an fsh level and Estradiol blood test on day 2 or 3, take 100 mg or two pills of Clomid (clomiphene) a day from days 5 to 9, then repeat the fsh test on day 10. Clomid (clomiphene) does not affect day 2 or 3 fsh levels though. ...Read more
Progesterone level 3.6 drawn day 20 took Clomid (clomiphene) day 5-9 did I ovulate Clomid (clomiphene) 150 mg?
May be normal: Ovulation likely happens about 5-7 days after your last Clomid (clomiphene) pill. If the pain is more than moderate, see your doctor right away. There's a small chance a cyst or bleeding can develop on the ovaries after using clomid (clomiphene). Some mild to moderate pain that lasts a day or two is probably normal. ...Read more
No, similar success: In most studies comparing Clomid (clomiphene) and Femara the pregnancy rates are similar and neither has been found to be superior to the other. Femara for fertility is an "off-label" indication, meaning this drug was not designed for this purpose. There are pros and cons of both Clomid (clomiphene) and Femara and they have different side effect profiles. Talk to your doctor about what is best for you. ...Read moreSee 1 more doctor answer

I have low testestrone but with out any fiscally problem can Clomid (clomiphene citrate) work in the place of androgel 10mg?
None for most men: Clomiphene citrate is an estrogen antagonist. For women who are estrogen dominant, this can cause multiple side effects as the Clomiphene shifts the estrogen to androgen (male hormone) balance away from the estrogen. In men, shifting that same balance away from estrogen and toward the androgens is not a problem as men are naturally androgen dominant. Most men have virtually no side effects. ...Read more

Ovulation on CC: Now this is a pet peeve of mine. Doctors give Clomid (clomiphene) and do not follow the patients. In order to use this drug correctly one must be followed with ultrasounds. Clomid (clomiphene) is a terrible, nasty anti-estrogen drug with many side effects-and I use it all the time because it is inexpensive and can help an anovulatory woman. Ultrasound is needed to follow endometrial thickness and ovarian response. ...Read more

Yes, it can work.: Just as Clomiphene can stimulate the inadequately functioning ovary, it can stimulate the inadequately functioning testicle in some men. The reason for the inadequate function is key as not every male will be able to respond. An evaluation of the male is important. The other difference is that if Clomiphene is going to work for a woman, you'll know within 2 weeks. For men, it will take 3-6 months. ...Read more
CC: There are literally millions of babies born using clomiphene citrate since the 1960s. About 50-60% of women treated with CC will become pregnant, 85% do so in 3 cycles and 95% in 6 cycles. If 50 years is your correct age (?) you should talk with your doctor, these numbers do not apply in your age group. ...Read more
