My ear feels clogged and has a low ringing or humming noise what should do? Just started this morning

Hello. : Hello. I can't diagnose your symptoms. However, your eustacian tube (tube that goes from the inside of the ear and empties into the throat) may be closed off. That can create the sense of pressure and may be causing the ringing (tinnitus). Hydrate well. Consider use of an oral decongestant. You might also consider using a product like afrin (oxymetazoline) which is sprayed in the nose. Make sure that you don't use it more often that twice a day for a max of 3 to 5 days. Your symptoms may be the result of congestion. ...Read more

Hello. : Hello. If your ears are clogged, it could be due to congestion. Congestion could create pressure on the eustacian tubes which normally can allow for pressure to equalize (or fluid to drain) as they connect the inside of the ear to the throat. You can try an oral decongestant or a nasal spray like afrin to help open up the area. If you use afrin, don't use any more often that twice a day for up to 3 to 5 days at the very longest. Hope your ears feel more comfortable soon. ...Read more
