Clobetasol Propionate Scalp Application Alopecia Areata I Got Side Effects Pimples

Given enough time the hair will usually grow back by itself, eventually, but it will take a long time; steroid injections speed things up considerably. ...Read more

Help? I use fluoconozole oil for sebhorraic dermatitis, Nizoral (ketoconazole) shampoo. Hair still itches like crazy! hair is thinning at crown, breaking off. Woman.
Shampoos: Shampoos remove much more hair oil than regular soap, and it's important that you apply a hair conditioner after shampooing to restore normal hair texture. If a dermatologist doesn't find any medical problems causing hair loss, I recommend that you have a skilled beautician evaluate your hair status and instruct you on proper hair care techniques. ...Read moreSee 1 more doctor answer

Pattern hair loss: Both Minoxidil and Propecia (finasteride) are very helpful in keeping the hair you still have. In 30-35% of men, there is significant hair regrowth. Most men get some regrowth. Side effects of Minoxidil are mostly local, such as irritation of scalp. Propecia (finasteride) blocks 5 Alpha reductase, enzyme that converts testosterone to dht. It may potentially but uncommonly have systemic side effects. Talk to your doctor. ...Read more
