See below: HSV 2 doesn't always present as tiny blisters. Best way to tell is to test fluid or smear from the lesion. If this isn't practical then a serologic antibody test for HSV 2 can be helpful IF you have never had HSV2 before this. It can take up to 2 weeks to turn (+) after contracting HSV2. if the test is (-) then it isn't HSV2. If (+) it suggests it is Herpes. ...Read more
