Constantly sneezing and runny nose (clear and watery). Have been taking my anti-allergy meds, but symptoms persist. What could it be? No fever.
Allergies likely: Sounds like fairly typical allergy symptoms. A cold (uri) and allergy can be very similar, but a cold lasts 5-7 days and you feel more sick. Allergies last much longer, like for an entire season, or year round. You don't feel quite as ill with allergies. You may need to see your doctor for assistance because there are many other allergy medications that can treat your symptoms. Read moreSee 1 more doctor answer

My son is 9 months old. I think he has some seasional allergies. He is sneezing a lot, red watery eyes, and runny nose and all discharge is clear?
Don't assume allergy: If I blow pepper in your face, you sneeze & drain the same as those with allergy. I find babies have more congestion with scented cleaning products, perfume, smoke & other irritants than they do with animal dander or pollens. The tiny nasal passages that become very noisy with a little mucous or swelling gives many the wrong idea. Thease are not little copies of adult problems, their issues differ. Read more

Flu?: You likely have a viral infection which can cause discolored nasal discharge and coughing. If the symptoms last more than 10 days, see your doctor. If the problem started within the past 48 hrs, your doctor may prescribe an antiviral drug for you to shorten your symptoms if they turn out to be from flu. Read more

Head cold: Mostly viral, and will take its course, however you need to rest, hydrate yourself well, salt water gargles, painkillers, and may be decongestants, if no problem with high blood pressure, several combination medicines OTC can help, but read the labels carefully, if no improvement, see your doctor, good luck Read more
?? Allergies??: Please re-phrase your question. It sounds like you are having allergy symptoms. There is no specific time course for when they will get better or go away. Seeing an allergy specialist might help but I would start with my primary care doctor. Read more
Almost anything: Triggers can basically be divided into allergens and irritants. Allergens will include pollen from trees, weeds, and grasses. Also mold, dust mites and pets. Irritants include dust, smoke, cleaning products, changes in weather, etc. The are other rare causes of these like migraines. Read moreSee 1 more doctor answer
Allergies?: Have you been checked for allergies? I would try 2 weeks of claritin (loratadine) (loratidine) or allegra (fexofenadine) OTC to see if that helps. If it does help then it is likely you have allergies. If it makes no difference at all then I would see your doctor for further evaluation. Read more
See an allergist: Your symptoms strongly suggest environmental allergy. Stay indoors as much as you can, drive with closed window and recirculate air, at home close windows. You can take otc anti-histamines, such as cetirizine, fexofenadine of loratadine; irrigate nose with saline, artifiical tears to eyes and drops such as ketotifen. If all these don't help, see an allergist. Read moreSee 2 more doctor answers

OTC meds: Your symptoms are most likely due to a viral upper respiratory illness or allergies. In either event, I advise taking an over the counter antihistamine like zyrtec at night x 14 days, a decongestant like sudafed 2 x daily x 10 days, and afrin nasal spray 2 x daily x 3 days only. If your symptoms do not improve after another 10 days, you should see your doctor, or sooner if your symptoms get wors Read more
