Cleaning The Uterus
Fibroids are located in the anterior wall of the uterus, ?Inside the uterus or outside the uterus?
Myomectomy: Fibroids can be removed using a myomectomy procedure which involves small incisions in the uterine musculature to remove the nodules. This is done either by laser, scalpel, via minimally invasive techniques such as Da Vinci robot or laparoscopy. Future fertility is usually preserved. However, this procedure only buys time as fibroids can return eventually. ...Read more

Do we clean the inner labia and the area between vagina and anus during the vulva cleaning process?
Vulvar cleaning: The only areas of the vulva which need to be cleaned are those where there are sweat glands. This is the area of the vulva that feels like skin and is not moist/wet. The inner folds of the vulva do not need to be cleaned and it can hurt to put soap on them and can cause infection to clean. A gentle soap used gently, can be helpful for outer labia and perineum (b/w vulva/anus). ...Read moreSee 1 more doctor answer

When cleaning your vagina, do you wash inside the labia minor where the urethra and vaginal opening are?
Not usually: You don't really need to clean the opening of the vagina. Cleaning the outside of the vagina, the vulva is helpful as there are sweat glands there that can produce sebaceous type material which can smell if not cleaned. The tissue by the urethra and the vagina is different and is more sensitive and could have pain or burning with soap. I recommend eo organics shower gel. Very gentle. Good luck. ...Read more

Not enough info ...: The myometrium is the muscular wall of the uterus so most or all of the fibroid is in the wall. Posterior means the back wall of your uterus as opposed to the front. A fibroid in the myometrium may be completely within the wall (intramural) or project into the inside cavity of the uterus (submucosal) or it may be just under the outer covering of the uterus (subserosal). Ultrasound or MRI can tell. ...Read moreSee 1 more doctor answer
