LE edema, CKD: if you have edema you may be fluid overloaded.Usually an increase in BUN( urea) which occurs in CKD causes itching but your burning may be a variation. Uric acid(not the same as urea) of 7 is upper limits , the edema is the real issue Call your renal doctor today or go to ER as you may need a water pill / IV to get the fluid off . Iron supplement for anemia/ckd patient: i take 325 mg ferrous fumerate but suffer from constipation. Since my iron level is low, doctor said taking it twice a day will help. Will single dose 17g miralax work to reduce GI symptoms? Thanks
Examine your diet: Most common cause of constipation is your diet. Foods that are constipatory are the grains: rice, barley, oats; milk, bananas. Why don't you 1st try to eliminate those foods from your diet for a week and see if your stools loosen up a bit.
