Yes you may: Yes you may. Calcium absorption tends to plateau when a single dose exceeds 500-600 mg. Even though the two together would exceed this number, you may be fine because one is slow release. Taking the 2 separately always makes absorption more efficient, but if you never remember taking a 2nd dose, taking both together would still wind up getting you more calcium absorbed than 1 supplement. ...Read more

So, consuming calcium rich foods will reduce need to take supplement. Also, vitamin use can improve absorption of calcium.
