Reason to ask: Always ask the Dr to explain what they expect the Rx to do for you as well as possible side effects. It is not intended to relieve insomnia in most folk. And it is a common side effect. But your Dr might believe your insomnia is due to depression or anxiety which is the main uses. Yes: But realize there is a slight increase in the risk of seizures. I don' t know your nortriptyline dose, but i would make sure a blood level is checked several weeks after the wellbutrin (bupropion) is added in to make sure you don't have excessively high levels.
