If ciprodex otic (ciprofloxacin and dexamethasone) has been stored above and below recommend temps can is it safe yo ise.

Med safety: i wouldn't recommend its use in this case. If it was stored does this mean you had it for a prior diagnosis? Perhaps this isn't an instance where its use is appropriate and you may need to get seen and re-prescribed the same or even another medicine. ...Read more

Gave Ciprodex otic (ciprofloxacin and dexamethasone) ear drops to child & she claimed it got into her mouth (maybe draining from Eustachian tube) did not see it get in mouth. HARMFUL??

Ciprodex in mouth: Greetings. The ciprodex could get into the mouth after applying to the ear canals if your child has a perforation in her ear/s or if she has PE tubes. The drops could travel down the Eustachian tubes into the back of the mouth and throat. Even if directly applied to the mouth, it is a very low dose and will not cause any harmful problems. ...Read more

I have to take dexamethasone for a procedure, but respond badly to it (anxiety, depression..) Is there a medication to counter these side effects?

Warn your provider: Before the procedure, fully advise your team of your bad reaction - they can be prepared to help you minimize or counteract it better than anyone one else. Since those are fairly common reactions, they may be familiar w/ the issue. Also, this sounds like a short-term exposure and there may be few or weaker reactions. Be optimistic - I hope the procedure is successful and reaction mild. ...Read more

Is it safe to use medication contain dexamethasone for swelling of the vocal cords on 5 year old boy as he has continuous hoarseness from 17 days ?

I'm taking dexamethasone and now am experiencing trouble breathing and severe pain and weakness in both legs and arms is it related to the drug?
