34 m. Was diagnosed with prostatitis. Did week of cipro (ciprofloxacin). Symptoms of increased urination and sensation in uretha continue. Did urine and blood work with nothing showing up. What should my next step be?
Uti wont go away. Taken bactrim, then cipro, (ciprofloxacin) symptoms persist. Doc is doing urine culture. Do you think probiotic or d-mannose would help me?
May help, also try: D-mannose is safe & effective for the 90% of uti's caused by e.Coli bacteria, so if you have a UTI caused by an e. Coli strain that is resistant to Bactrim & Cipro (ciprofloxacin) it will help. It is wise to take probiotics to restore normal GI flora during & after taking antibiotics but it will not help your uti. You can try herbs like uva ursi & andrographis while awaiting culture results. ...Read more
Diagnosed with prostatitis. Given 2weeks cipro (ciprofloxacin), (cipro (ciprofloxacin)floxacin) symptoms went away, then returned 3 days after stopping. Back on cipro (ciprofloxacin) 2.5 weeks symptoms still there?
After one month treatment of enterococcus in semen with augmentin and cipro, (ciprofloxacin) initial symptoms seem to fade, but slight pain/discomfort appeared on testicles during the last 2 days. Should i worry?
Need cultures: This could be either orchitis (infection in testicle) or epididymitis (duct from testes out). These infections can be hard to treat. You need repeat cultures to asure infection is cleared and if not cleared to diagnose what infection is present & to twhich antimicrobial is best. Sometimes a long course of antibiotis is needed to eradicate. Should have partner checked & treated if infected also. ...Read moreSee 1 more doctor answer

Had a UTI that was cultured, the bacteria was e.Coli and wasnt resistant to many antibiotics, was given cipro (ciprofloxacin) but my symptoms are still here?
Need more info: Symptoms of urinary tract infection are non-specific. Burning is common, but can arise from yeast infections and from bacterial. Symptoms of urgency and frequency can arise from conditions other than an infection. The best doctor to diagnose is one who physically examines the area, takes serial urine cultures, ; who does not use antibiotics without good cause. Study interstitial cystitis. ...Read more
Prostatitis. 2 wks into 4wk course of cipro (ciprofloxacin). Still have symptoms. nocturia, burning/pain in rectum and tingling urethra. How long until I see results?
Hi I have had a sinus infection for 11 weeks, and i'm on an antibotic called cipro (ciprofloxacin). Now my symptoms are coming back even.
Ngu from oral sex. Treated with doxycycline, 1g aiztrthmycin and 28 days cipro (ciprofloxacin). Still have symptoms. All std neg. Worried it wont go. Other cause?
Not an infection: Many mysteries about NGU from oral sex, but often not true urethritis and not due to bacteria caught from partner. Whatever the original cause, persisting symptoms now despite all those antibiotics is proof that they are not due to infection. Some men just have persistent symptoms, but it's not harmful for affected men or their partners. More abts won't help and I doubt need for any further Rx. ...Read more
