Dryness of mucosa: The symptoms is likely due to dryness of the mouth. It may be as simple as the person not drinking enough water. Advise him to drink enough water daily so that his urine is colorless. If that does not help it would be prudent to consult a doctor to evaluate for disorders causing dry mouth, xerostomia. Allergies.: Go see your doc. Allergies are getting bad now and that could be a cause. If you smoke, you could have a bronchitis. Go see your doc. You can try otc Claritin (loratadine) prior. ...Read more

Allergies: Usually just due to allergies. Otc antihistamines like Loratadine can help. Physicians can prescribe (imo) somewhat better medications like inhaled nasal steroids, that are quite safe and often very effective. Rarely the sign of a more serious disorder and things like your smoking status can affect this as well. ...Read more
