General advice: Drinking more fluids can dilute the mucus and make it less irritating. Nasal saline every 2 hours has a similar effect, and also flushes the mucus. Prescription nasal steroids often help, by reducing the inflammation which produces mucus. Keep in mind that in some people what feels like a postnasal drip is really acid reflux. ...Read more

No.: Tmj problems don't cause chronic pain and pressure in the nasal cavity. More likely causes include allergies, a sinus infection, a deviated nasal septum or enlarged inferior turbinates. No but: You can ask your doctor to give your something (antihistamine nasal spray ?) to decongest your nose or try breathright strip to keep your nose open while doing the drainage. Be sure that your aiming your Nasonex (mometasone) towards the outside direction of the nasal cavity and not the center. ...Read more
