Subclinical thyroid: Sub-clinical hypothyroidism is a grey area..Some start low dose synthroid . It may have beneficial effects on lipids and cardiac function. May consider repeating TSH in 6 weeks and if again low then starting, check thyroid antibodies. B12: Needs to be maintained above 550 for at least 6 months before one would expect to see any recovery from the sensory ataxia (balance issues) I recommend use of methcyanocobalmine or sublingual B12. Feeling cold for yrs, fainting during periods for yrs but sex hormone levels normal, lethargy often, constipation,high cholesterol- worth doing TSH?
YES!!!: Plus CBC (blood count). Not sure why sex hormones (which ones) checked before CBC & TSH. Anemia (low blood count) could cause cold feeling, feeling faint & lethargy. Anemia often results from frequent heavy periods in young women.
