For how long?: What kind of scan did you have? Ultrasound is good at detecting gallstones but can miss other problems. Do you have fevers? Has your physician checked your liver function? All of these things may have bearing on if there is anything serious. ...Read more

Gall bladder on R: Usually gallbladder on the right, so unless you have situs inversus, ,not likely to be gallbladder pain. Make have stones (many do) and no symptoms. Problem with abdominal pain is that there are MANY causes. Unable to diagnose remotely. Keep symptom and diet diary to see if connection. PROBABLY NOT: Epigastric pain that is relieved by eating is typical of ulcer or gastritis. Gallstones, when symptomatic, usually cause pain after eating, especially after fatty or greasy foods. Yes: Bloating can certainly occur if you have a stomach ulcer or gallstones. It can occur with a lot of other issues too such as gastroenteritis, gluten or lactose sensitivities, irritable bowel syndrome, recent antibiotics etc...I would take some probiotics (in yogurt or as a supplement) and see your doctor for a full workup. ...Read more
