It sounds: Like you are describing classic SLEEP APNEA which in some people is described as "choking" or "PARALYSIS"! I assume you are not a heavy drinker or misuse sleep medications! Can't sleep cause keep choking on mucus, keep swallowing but it keeps coming back. What can I do?
Mucus: Since miami is known as a mold heaven I would suggest that you may be allergic to molds. Seek help from an allergist.
