Choking Throw Worried
I've been throwing up EVERY single morning after I eat! Is this completely normal? I throw up bad! & I even start choking on my throw up! I'm worried!
Not normal: If you are SURE you are not pregnant and don't smoke pot a lot, consider Cyclic Vomiting Syndrome if it has been going on awhile. May be associated with migraines, food allergies, metabolic and endocrine disorders. Does it ever stop for a period then return? Do you feel nausea or abdominal pain inbetween vomiting? You need full blood workup and upperGI studies to rule out other problems-see your doctor!! ...Read more

Sorry: Sorry for the delay in answering. Erythromycin can cause nausea and vomiting as a side effect even if it is not "expired". And in general, expired Erythromycin should work fine. It would not make you sick. You probably had a gastrointestinal viral infection and are hopefully all better now. ...Read more

If you’re not having any pain or symptoms now, there should be no problem from swallowing a fishbone last night
48yr old womam. Had endoscopy & colonoscopy 1 year ago, normal. Now coughing, occasionaly choking on food & heartburn. Worried about esophegal cancer.
How likely is it for a bad cough (from choking) to cause a vein dissection of the neck? The cough left my arm with a dull pain as well. Bit worried.
Unlikely: The veins usually don't undergo dissection but the arteries do. However it would be highly unlikely, if not impossible, for dissection to occur with hard coughing. But a few flecks of blood from broker capillaries in tge bronchial tree may be associated with heavy coughing. ...Read more

If your ENT doctor (who I assume knows you well) said all was OK, and if you're not have symptoms (i.e., ongoing problems with chewing / swallowing), at your age, a normal barium swallow is very reassuring. Not knowing ur medical history, you should use HealthTap Prime or ask ur primary ...Read more
