No: The sugar in the cake and icing is what your body will use for energy. If you deprive your diet of these simple sugars and other carbohydrates, then it is forced to draw upon your own fat stores for energy rather than leaving your stored fat energy where it is. Agree w' : Dr Fairchild. Many of the junk foods however contain ingredients that are addictive (corn syrup). For some people, when they eat a little they can't stop or they will eat more the next day and the cravings will continue.
