I have always had the chirping sounds in my ears, but now one ear has developed more of a low roaring sound. It is very annoying at night?

Meniere's Disease: Ringing in the ears is usually due to a condition called meniere's disease. Unless you are taking a lot of aspirin, this is usally the cause for ringing.
