Word of mouth: Consumers are the best judges. Ask your friends and co-workers and if one name seems to keep coming up then that is where i would go. There are so many to choose from the choice can be difficult. There are about 30 in my area and there are only about 5 that i would send my patients to. Yes, with caveats: Research suggests that chiropractic treatment is safe and effective for back and neck pain and migraine headaches. Just as not all medical doctors are the same, i find some chiropractors give much higher quality care than others. I prefer chiropractors who use more gentle styles like direct non-force, network and activator techniques. I am wary of those who advise long-term treatment. See comment:. ...Read more

Not logical: Chiro offers a strenuous massage which frequently feels very good. It cannot diagnosis anything, and offers no cure for anything. Helps for back pain: Multiple studies have demonstrated that spinal manipulation for low back pain, both acute and chronic, is helpful. It was more effective than medication and at least as helpful as massage or physical therapy.
