Could be reflux: "burning sensation" in the chest may be related to reflux. Go see your doctor. A trial of ppi's and carafate (sucralfate) may help determine the cause and may need an egd scope. I have also seen "strictures" do this....The esophagus folding onto itself and you need a dilation by a GI doc. In general, burning sensations or pains suggest nerve involvement. Nerve pain (neuropathy) causes burning and tingling, and be caused by nerve injury, irritation or infection.
