Typical: Typical complications of surgery as infection or bleeding. Sensory nerve damage possible, but not in expert hands. Incision inside mouth or under chin. Most implants made out of silicone or similar. Those may migrate. I prefer porous implants. More difficult to insert but virtually no migration or infection. Antibiotics can easily resolve infection without having to take implant out. ...Read more

If you are really worried about an implant and the complications, you can have a temporary augmentation using fillers. Many plastic surgeons have been using Juvederm Voluma to augment the chin.
