Depends on cause: If one is a healthcare worker, she can wear a mask and wash hands often (or use the sanitizing gel/foam). If in sales or marketing, a mask would scare off people, so hand sanitizer is the best one can do. If working in dusty situations where the dust/smoke/irritants in the air make one more prone to catching other respiratory infections, then wearing a mask helps also. Thyroid labs normal?: Hi. Have your thyroid labs been re-checked? Is the cancer in remission? Are you still getting chemo? Are you neutropenic (not likely these days with filgrastim (filgrastin) and other GCSF analogs). Talk with your oncologist and check your thyroid labs, CBC + diff, etc. Good luck! ...Read more

Thyroid nodule: Doesn't sound like mold. Check thyoid function and treat if required. Check nodule with ultrasound and may need biopsy. Check and treat low vit d if below 30. Optimal is 40. What is temp with night sweats. Are you having normal periods? What itches? ...Read more
