Flu: First question is did you get the flu shot? This sounds like the flu. However, you can go to your doctor and have a sole test done to check. The next: Series of tests I would order include Liver function tests (SGPT SGOT ALK P_TASE BILIRUBIN), Viral markers, such as LYME disease .HOWEVER I would strongly suggest consultation with infectious disease expert if the fever is carefully DOCUMENTED!
