Many meds, also...:
327 (!) medications are known to interact with tamoxifen- not all seriously. The prescribing doc should supply this info! See http://www. Drugs. Com/drug-interactions/tamoxifen. Html

What makes you gain weight any vitamin or medication I can take? I don't really have an appetite to eat so what can I do to gain 20lbs atleast?
First make sure you don't have a severe life- threatening illness preventing you from gaining weight. That will require seeing a clinician. Once done consider other variables: dietary protein, digestion, absorption.
I start with a plant based, anti-inflammatory, low glycemic, hormonally correct protein powder (1-2x/day) that is also chock full of vitamins, trace minerals, and enzymes. ...Read more
You don't say which medication but it is safe to take B12 with all medications, but it should not be taken at the same time as tetracycline (take at least an hour apart). Many medications reduce absorption & thus increase our need for B12.
I advise sublingual or chewable methylcobalamin.

What are some of medication/vitamins you need to take when you are trying for babies? Am 27 years old.
Prenatal vitamins: Prenatal vitamins are typically full of b vitamins especially folate (folic acid) which if taken prior to getting pregnant lowers risk of spinal tube defects. Some studies suggest benefit to fish (oil) but that data is still early. Otherwise, best to check w/your family doc or OB for their specific recommendations given where you live & your specific medical, surgical & obstetric history. ...Read more
Want to start taking Rainbow Light One Women's vitamin, does the herbal blend react with any medications?
Rainbow Light One: Woman's vitamin seems to be a pretty good multiple vitamin, but as with any chemical you put in your body, it can interact with other ones/medications. Specific herbs that interact with the medicines you list you are taking are St. John's Wort, tryptophan, ginkgo. Your best bet is to go online to a drug interaction site and list your vitamin and each Rx med you are taking. Better: get vits in diet! ...Read more
Is there anything that I can do to improve my fertility? Any medication or vitamins I can take that are inexpensive?
Trying for pregnancy: A healthy lifestyle doesn't hurt, but most likely will not improve chances. If you have any risk factors like prior pelvic infection, you shouldsee a doctor since your fallopian tubes might be blocked. Otherwise, the best chances for pregnancy are by having intercourse at least every other day a few days before and around the time of ovulation. (usually 14 days before your expected period). ...Read more

Why deficient?: Thanks for writing. I trust this is laboratory-proved. You are in danger. If you have become B12 deficient through a vegetarian diet, I hope you'll reconsider this lifestyle, which despite much hype actually offers little benefit and many dangers, or that you'll supplement. If you have a problem absorbing B12 (several possibilities), it's a lifetime on injectable b12, which isn't bad. Good luck. ...Read more
I have Hemoglobin (low iron) is there anything I can do? Or any medications, vitamins I could take to fix this?
Ok then: We all have hemoglobin. Some have low hemoglobin (anemia), of which one of the types of anemia is due to low iron. Discuss with your doctor as this is many times due to blood loss, and it's sometimes necessary to treat what's causing the iron deficiency, and not just replacing iron. But in meantime you can probably start some simple Iron supplements. The pharmacist can point them out to you. ...Read more
