No: The am academy of pediatrics doesn't recommend any cough products for young children as they haven't been shown effective and sometimes are harmful. Children's coughs may benefit from vaporizer, drinking fluids, and 1 tsp honey for those over 1 year. Not recommended: None of these products are recommended for any child under age 6 yr. They were commonly used decades ago, but were more a product that give you something to do than helpful.
