Any medication for moderate Microalbuminuria other than tight control of HTN. DM with diet exercise like acetylcysteine Taurine?

Is it true that most drug store brands and not derm sold sun screens are not effective bc they don't hv titanium dioxide? Ie elta, that's what dm said
That is not true: In the U.S., there are several ingredients commonly used in today's sunscreens. If the sunscreen protects against both UVA and UVB ultraviolet radiation from the sunlight, then it does work. One can get an idea of how well it works by looking at the SPF number (for example, SPF 8, SPF 15, SPF 30). However, a person may see little difference in effect among high SPF's (SPF 40 is similar to 60). ...Read more
What is the difference between dimetapp dm and brotapp dm for children age 4? Are there any harmful side effects with brotapp dm in this age group?
No important ones: For at least the last decade we have recommended parents not use these cough/cold medications in kids before school age if then. They were once a prescription med that eventually made it to OTC status. Over time we realized more kids were self medicating and ending up in the ER with toxic overdoses. The research eventually showed they don't do much, other than give parents something to do. ...Read more
Can I give my 10 year old son Mucinex (guaifenesin) fast max dm? It's adult strength and says children and adults over 12 can take 20 ml every 4 hours.
I just took mucinex DM with my Zoloft, looked up drug interactions for my propranolol and found out I just set myself up for SS, what should I do?
Bought some Mucinex dm today for cough and chest congestion. I also take 20mg of Lexapro (escitalopram). Drugs dot com says major interactions. Uhhhh? Can I take?
Ask pharmacist or Dr: This is very troubling indeed. And everything I've read supports what you found. Don't risk a potentially life-threatening interaction but do try to find an alternative to Lexapro (escitalopram) w/ your doctor. It's not the guaifenesin part, so you could take Mucinex pills and gargle w/ salt water for throat pain and drink honey-lemon-tea- (bit of bourbon). Sorry, but you actually may find this to work better! ...Read more

Keep your weight within normal limits, exercise, and avoid high carbohydrate foods to reduce risk. ...Read more
