How can I tell if I have paranoia schizophrenia i'm a 16 year old girl?

My biological father has schizophrenia, and he suffers from it since he was about my age. I am almost 21 years old now and i fear of getting it too.

Get to a doctor: I would get to a therapist or psychiatrist and proceed with an evaluation. All mental illness is heritable, but from males (father) to females (daughter) is less likely than fathers to sons. If you have ruled out other medical conditions, i would review symptoms with a therapist and perhaps seek proactive forms of treatment. ...Read more
