My child has been vomiting once a day, in mornings only. This has been going on for 5 days. There is no headache. The only other symptom is low grade fever of 99. I am fearful of brain tumor. Could it be?
Unlikely to be tumor: Nothing is impossible but this would not be the first sign of a brain tumor. However, I would be concerned about possible dehydration and electroyte imbalances and adequate fluid intake. Please contact your pediatrician as intravenous fluids may be advised. For 6 years, my 9 year old child has gotten headaches with fever every 4 weeks, often with vomiting. Blood tests at the time of headache show nothing?
Food poisoning/virus: Your symptoms are classic for both food poisoning and for a viral gastroenteritis. In either case symptoms are likely to improve within 24 hours. The greatest danger is dehydration. Don't worry about eating until you feel better but drink water; ginger tea with lemon and honey may help. You could also try the homeopathic remedy Nux vomica 30c. If not improving within a couple days see a Dr. Read more
I have been vomiting several times for half a day, feeling bloated and nauseated, having headache and a fever of 39degrees. What should be the case?
A few things...: It's difficult to tell the source based on your symptoms. It could be infectious or it could be something surgical. If you are unable to keep down fluids and the vomiting persists you need to go to the emergency room at least for getting intravenous hydration. If the bloating continues and you stop having bowel movements, you may have obstruction, a surgical emergency. I would get seen now. Read more
Sir, I m frm nepal and before 1 mnth I had seen blood in my vomit...Aft that I have never seen it bt m sufferin from fever headache etc...Whts d rezon?
You need check up: You need to be evaluated by your doctor, at this time it seems you have either viral infection, but depending on the examination they may find it is due to some other infection like meningitis etc. Blood in your vomit one time only has no relationship with this episode of headache and fever, but can be related to gastritis at that time but if it recurrs than it needs to be evaluated by endoscopy. Adult male 42 vomiting all day, started for no reason, can't keep anything down chills no fever headache?
Virus setting in: Sounds like your have one of the many viruses that cause gastroenteritis (stomach "flu"). Right now lots of noravirus infection going around the country (better known as cruise ship flu). Chills may indicate your temperature is about to go up, so monitor this. Try very tiny amounts of clear fluid at a time, and if you are not able to keep anything down in the next 12-24 hours, seek care. Read more

My daughter is experiencing headache since early morning on Friday, it's stinging and woke her up today at night, she hasn't a fever, vomit has occurred 3 times in 12 hrs and no appetite at all since then, can't hold food and barely liquids.
See MD: Please bring your baby to see the MD asap. This time of year your daughter may have an ear infection, influenza, or acute gastroenteritis. There are several other reasons but she needs to see MD if she can't tolerate liquids. Give ice chips and pedialyte freezer pops. MD can give her medicine so she can tolerate oral liquids. Don't worry she will be just fine. Read more
