Child Complaining Of Eye Pain
2 yr old son woke up in middle of night vomiting and complaining of pain in left eye. no other symptoms. Virus? Migraine? Cause for serious concern?
Vomiting...: Waking up vomiting at night wouldn't normally concern me; however, with the complaint of eye pain (? headache) associated with this episode, I would contact his pediatrician in the morning and be seen. May just be a virus (usually is!) but pain in the head that wakes you up at night and is associated with vomiting at least deserves an exam by his pediatrician. ...Read more

My 5 year old daughter complains of pains (leg, knee, stomach, foot, ...) and also complains of exhaustion. Potential course of action?
Get a thorough exam: By her pediatrician to verify her heath status and make sure there's nothing physically wrong. If everything checks out ok, consider that there could be a reason she's complaining other than leg, foot, stomach pains and exhaustion. Something could be "stressing her out". ...Read moreSee 2 more doctor answers

My 9yr old son c/o of rt low quad pain .Where his belly button is to his right side of his stomach. What can be causing him to have this pain.No fever ?
Could be appendix...: The first possibility that comes to mind is appendicitis, which may not cause fever. Commonly, there's bit of appetite loss / nausea, then belly button (umbilicus) pain which tends to move down to the right lower quadrant (mcburneys point). Certainly it could be another problem, and length of time is important. If gone in 24 hours, probably ok; but if persists +fever or becomes severe, c doc asap. ...Read moreSee 1 more doctor answer

My 3 years child is suffering from ear pain. He is complaining pain in left ear after every 3 to 4 hours. Kindly suggests ear drops?
Look in the ear first: You can buy a cheap otoscope at the pharmacy and looked directly in the ear at the eardrum. For a three-year-old I would wonder first of all do they have an infection. Then I would have a question of a foreign body. So I suggest you don't put anything in his ear until you know what the air looks like. ...Read moreSee 2 more doctor answers
