If chikungunya is contracted will it lead to immunity afterwards?

Yes, they say.: According to the WHO it does. I hope that the chikungunya virus agrees with them. Despite the so-called immunity, however, symptoms can last a very long time (they say it's from a chronic infection, so that would mean that the immunity is not complete). If you have it, I hope you get better real soon. ...Read more

I have chikungunya and a swelling nude in the left buttock is that common?

I have chikungunya and a swelling nude in the left buttock is that common?

Not chikungunya: This is totally unrelated to chikungunya and is a separate problem. It's a bit hard to tell from the pic but it could be a 'Staph boil' or possibly an STD if you've been having unsafe sex. Sometimes the condom doesn't cover the 'whole area' so what's not covered could, in theory, get infected. Best to get a doc to see it and CULTURE that so you know exactly what it is, and therefore the best Rx. ...Read more
