I have hypothyroidism n it is in controlled state. Can I plan for pregnancy now and while planning can i take prenatal gummy with thyroid medication.
It's OK: Hi. Yep, you can take prenatal gummies with your thyroid medication. If you get pregnant, you'll often have to increase your thyroid dose a little bit. ...Read more
Is Colace (docusate sodium) (Docusate 100 mg) safe in 31 week pregnancy? My prenatal multivitamin has Docusate as well. Is there any safer medication for constipation?
That is safe: Constipation can be an issue during pregnancy. So the docusate is important to reduce the amount of strain or vasalva pressure you put on your entire system when you're constipated and trying to have a BM. So you are safe to keep constipation at bay by taking a stool softener (docusate). ...Read more

I'm 30, mom of 15 mo. Was on prenatal during pregnancy. I don't take any vitamins or medications. Feel lack of energy. What vitamins should I take?
Prenatal: If you are breast feeding you should keep taking your prenatal vitamins, you are giving a lot of nourishment to your child. You should also get checked to make sure you aren't anemic, sometimes that can cause fatigue. You should for sure take omega fatty acids. If you are still breast feeding don't use fish oil, best bet is actually chia seeds, they are high in omegas, and also proteins. ...Read more

I took Benadryl (diphenhydramine) the night before my first prenatal apt. Drug tested and found that it was positive for valium?
20wks pregnant. Heavy marijuana user before found out. Is there anyway to detox body before pre-natal visit to get a good result on a drug test?
Not really: THC attaches to fat cells in your body & leaks out over time. There are no flush agents that work. Light users may become negative in a week of abstinence while heavy users may remain positive for a month. If you get on a CPS watch list they will be able to find it in baby at birth. Stay clean & be honest with your docs and things may go well. ...Read more
Can pregnancy alone cause elevated liver enzymes (for wife)? She doesn't drink or do any drugs, takes a prenatal; has grave's but not rx'd meds yet..
Probably not, no. : ALT of 47.9 is so close to the ULN, that there doesn't seem to be reason to get alarmed. Medication ASAP is unlikely to be indicated. The best thing to do is contact the doc who ordered the test and ask why it was ordered? Were you having any sxs? Any other abnormal labs/tests/findings? Next steps may include repeating the test, picture tests of the abdomen/liver, or stopping a current med. :) ...Read more
I have tintius. The ringing is louder at times. Is there anything l can do to lessen the ringing (food drink medication)?
There are none...: Even the strongest opiates only "take the edge off" for people in chronic pain. Meds are only one part of dealing with the pain. A useful tool, but pain is so necessary for survival that we are not "allowed" to monkey with it much. In acute pain, the transition from miserable to less miserable can be great. In chronic pain, it's just part of the plan. ...Read more
