If you have a virus!: If you have a viral infection, flu, west nile, etc. Having symptoms last for 10-14 days would not be unusual. All the symptoms you have are relatively non-specific. I'd stick with the doc you've see. ...Read more

Costochondritis: Musculoskeletal injury or inflammation involving rib or muscle can cause pain. Anterior rib inflammation or costochondritis is viral. Bruises from physical activity can cause pain. This is serious: If you can tell that you have decreased exercise tolerance, and you believe it is not just "stress", and the onset was fairly abrupt, one entity to rule out is a missed pulmonary thromboembolus.
