I get shortness of breath, as if can't breath in enough air, so its easier to breath through mouth. Some times chest tightness & cough what could it be?

Get checked out ASAP: One of the most common errors patients and doctors make is assuming that because someone is under forty, they cannot have a serious cardiac or pulmonary condition. That is simply not true. You could be having an anginal equivalent - in other words your shortness of breath could mean your heartis notable to habndle thestrain being put on it. It sould also be pulmonary in origin. See your docto. ...Read more

How to get rid off tight chest with dry cough?

How to get rid off tight chest with dry cough?

Go see your doctor: Tight chest w/dry cough makes me think of bronchoconstriction or wheezing. This is a relatively common symptom of respiratory infections so it's best to go see family doc. A short acting bronchodilator such as albuterol will most likely take care of tight chest. With that said, this is all speculation. If you feel lightheaded, nauseated, short of breath, chest pain/pressure, don't wait. Call 911. ...Read more

I have allergic asthma. I feel really sick (dizziness, tight chest, cough) but I never have a pulse ox below 98 so PCPs don't take it seriously. Do I really need a $1K consult with a pulmonologist?

Asthma: Just because you don't have a low oxygen saturation does not mean you don't have significant asthma. Have they done pulmonary function testing? Symptoms : Congested nose & throat. Very dry. Can’t breathe. Terrible tight chest and cough. Body and chest feels ticklish. All for a week now.?

Infection.: Possibilities for your current symptoms include acute sinusitis, acute bronchitis, upper respiratory infection, allergies or even pneumonia. As such, an evaluation would be recommended at this point with a physician locally. ...Read more
