I have severe chest pain around my sternum which is worse when lying down and trying to move around. What could this be?

Pericarditis: Sounds a lot like pericarditis, which is an inflammation of the sac that surround the heart. A lot of time it is secondary to some other infection, like bronchitis. It sounds like it could be indigestion or gerd (acid reflux), but you never know. Could be something more serious. Try an antacid or proton pump inhibitor (prilosec, pravacid, nexium, (esomeprazole) etc).
