I have severe chest pain around my sternum which is worse when lying down and trying to move around. What could this be?

Worse breathing?: Pattern: worse lying down and better sitting up (especially leaning forward)-very suggestive of pericarditis which would not show up on a ct angio. Pain worse with deep breath? Pericarditis: Sounds a lot like pericarditis, which is an inflammation of the sac that surround the heart. A lot of time it is secondary to some other infection, like bronchitis. See your MD asap: It sounds like it could be indigestion or gerd (acid reflux), but you never know. Could be something more serious.
