Depends: Not sure what medicine you took and different meds will take longer to work. If you have been having chest pain associated with an elevated blood pressure that is not a symptom you should be managing yourself at home. You should be evaluated in the emergency room to determine if the pain is related to damage to the heart muscle.See 1 more doctor answer

There is chest pain in my rite side of chest which rediates to rite side.Pain does not feel while laying down and when i wake up in the morning.?
Unclear cause: If pain alters with position change or with deep breathing, potentially could be pericarditis (inflammation of the skin around the heart) or muscle/skeletal in the rib/chest wall. More worrisome causes could be a pulmonary embolism (clot in lungs) or problems with aorta, or blockage in your heart arteries (although given your age, the others may be more likely). Your doctor can assess this.
What's the solution for very bad chest pain from gas? It starts @ night and usually gets worse when laying down.
Chest pain that radiates to back, cough, congestion, headache, hurts to take a full breathh and hurts worse when laying down.
Pericarditis: Sounds a lot like pericarditis, which is an inflammation of the sac that surround the heart. A lot of time it is secondary to some other infection, like bronchitis. Could also be pleurisy, which is an inflammation of the lining of the lungs. I'd get checked out by your doctor to be sure.See 1 more doctor answer

I am experiencing chest pain or discomfort (feels sharp or stabbing) (worsened by: sudden movements, laying down, sitting up) What could be the cause!
Since: movement seems to aggravate it COSTOCHONDRITIS an inflammation of the tiny cartilages which allow the chest to expand (they are located between the sternum(breastbone) and your ribs...is a possible Diagnosis! You need a "hands on" exam with your PCP as soon as practicable to make an accurate diagnosis not a "guess" Hope this helps! Dr Z
