Your history is concerning. Go get checked out, at your age I worry about a chest mass, make sure there are no enlarged lymph nodes in your chest, especially if accompanied by any fever or weight loss

Quite a few causes

Chestwall itself, esophagus/stomache, lungs, heart, pancreas, and even liver problems can cause chest pain. In the young, more likely chestwall itself or reflux is causing pain. As we get older heart disease becomes more common cause of concern. Since u gave only limitted info, it is diiffult to tell what you have. Please repost a more specific question or consult your doc. Good luck

Chest pain with deep breath. Enlargd rght neck lymph node. Gingvitis. FEVER 37, Xrays ok,Blood tests ok. Swollen bone right chest. I work o heavy load?

Why the concern?

Chest pain on deep inspiration only is almost certainly chest wall pain and is no concern. All young men have at least one enlarged neck lymph node. A temperature of 37C isn't a fever. Different people have different-shaped bones on their chests. Your dentist can advise you about your gum disease; I'd urge you simply to be grateful for good health and to continue enjoying your youth.

What reason could be for ALT 60; ABS eosinophils 680; CO2 31test results, symptoms - chest pain, chronic dry cough, left knee swollen & painful?

No easy answer

Eosinophil
You're on methotrexate and this itself may account for your elevated liver enzymes. The trivial elevation of your eosinophils isn't going to be helpful. If you're on this medication, it's likely to be for joint disease known best to you and your physician. Please forgive me, but your having to ask HealthTap tells me you need to ask for better communication from your treating physician.

Should I go to ER? I have had back pain, chest pain, and slight shortness of breath for well over a week now. In the past couple of days, my upper left abdomen has swollen, is extremely painful, and very tender to the touch. My left side and my back also

Hello.

Hello. I can't diagnose your condition. However you describe severe pain in the left upper quadrant of your abdomen with swelling and tenderness to palpation. You also have nausea as well as shortness of breath with pain extending into the chest and back. I think that this constellation of symptoms would warrant an evaluation at an Emergency Room. Take care. I hope you are feeling better soon.

Lymph nodes swollen for 8 months. Thought it was over a yr, but further backtracking shows sooner. I now have chest pains, itchiness, fatigue. Biopsy?

Hold on

Biopsy
Don't plan your biopsy yet. Lots of things can cause enlarged lymph glands and they're not all bad. Sometimes they are enlarged in the neck but not big enough that it's a worry. I recommend you stop trying to figure it out online and go see a doctor for further evaluation. It may not be as bad as you suspect, but you do need to find out.

18 years old. Swollen lymph nodes that haven't grown in size. But i have a cough and difficulty swallowing followed with chest pains. Is this Lymphoma?

Correlated or not?

Stringio
It is hard to know, especially without doing a physical exam and taking a complete medical history, whether or not the long standing enlarged lymph nodes (how big?) and your new symptoms are related. If you have not been to a physician, I would recommend going. It is reassuring the nodes have been stable for a year. Further testing, if warranted, can be done to figure out what is going on.

Feeling painful and slightly swollen lymph nodes in chest area, please help?

Monitoring Centers

Enlarged_lymph_nodes
Lymphatic system absorbs/carries things too big to go into the arteries/veins like bacteria eaten by white cells and digested food. Lymph Nodes "taste" the lymph for anything bad like bacteria/viruses/cancers, etc. When it detects a problem, it alerts the immune system and your body reacts. They enlarge in response to the inflammation they create when they react. They shrink when all is well
