Chest pain?: If you have chest pain on deep breath, it suggests pleurisy - inflammation of the outside lining of your lung (the "pleura") but that wouldn't explain neck pain. If the pain if primarily confined to your neck, an overstretched or injured muscle is more likely . ?Pleurisy: May be musculosketal pain but sounds like its pleuritic in nature. That means it could be related to inflammation of a layer of tissue surrounding the lungs. If its persistent, I would see a physician for further tests, for example, chest XR , blood work,EKG etc. ...Read more

Chest wall: The behavior of pain appears to be related to motion, i.e., neck movement and breathing. Pleuritic pain is elicited by breathing. Chest pain: On the left side is serious until you can explain that it isn't your heart. Diaphram sounds involved. Any chance you just upset your stomach with the ibuprofen? Must rule out heart/aorta/abdomin issues then go from there. ...Read more

10 days right sided chest pain radiates to shoulder blade. Worsens when taking deep breath. A bit of breathing prob but is very hot and humid.

Try warm compresses and firm massage on that side of back. Usually resolves so long as you are not experiencing breathlessness.
