Chest Pain On The Right Side Of My Chest
When does it occur?: Could be many things, depends on the character, timing and what brings it on. Could be lung inflammation, rib or chest wall muscle pain, shingles, your stomach, liver, pancreas or your gall bladder. It might even be your heart if it occurs with exertion and goes away with rest (dextrocardia?). You need to have it checked by your doctor.

As I was getting off work today, I got this weird chest pain on the right side of my chest. The pain kind of felt like it was pulsating. It lasted about 10 mins. Is this something to be concerned about?
Sounds benign: Given your young age, lack of stated heart conditions or tobacco abuse and no medications for hypertension or high cholesterol, your risk for cardiac disease (i.e. heart attack) would be quite low. Provided the pain resolved on its own and didn't continue, it was likely just a muscle spasm. If it continues or gets worse, should consult your physician.See 1 more doctor answer

Im 18 whose a runner, I been feeling chest pain lately. The right side of my chest hurt. Its been hurting after I ran three miles at a cross country meet three days ago. What can cause this pain?
Possibly...: As a runner and young, chest pain after running 3 miles maybe chest wall related. By putting finger pressure on the sore area, you maybe able to localize the tenderness. If while pressing on it, deep breathing accentuates the pain, then that behavior of pain may confirm chest wall, muscle/rib, etc as the source of pain. Mitral valve prolapse can also cause your symptom. See your doc.See 1 more doctor answer

I keep having chest pain in the right hand side of my chest its underneath the breast and in between the breasts what could this be?
Several causes: If the chest pain is: 1. Aggravated by deep breathing, it could be either musculoskeletal or pleural pain (from the membrane surrounding the lungs). 2. Made worse by exertion and relieved by rest, it could be heart-related. 3.Associated with a place on the chest that's tender to touch, it's in the chest wall (ribs, cartilage, muscles).
I get severe chest pain sometimes. Sometimes its the right side of my chest and sometimes it is the left side. ?
I have chest pain on the right side of my breast and my chest looks purple around my chest. what's wrong?
Sounds like a bruise: to me. The breast is tender tissue and you could be bruised from just a ball or minimal injury. If the pain is mild you could apply a heating pad and see if it gets better, turns yellow and goes away. If pain is severe, you may have a rib injury and should be seen (especially if at all short of breath). Ask Mom to help!
Same as left :o): Pain inside the chest can radiate just as easily to the right as to the left, so would not disregard the symptom just because it is on the right. It still should be evaluated. It still could be angina, pericarditis, chest muscle wall pain, costochondritis, a lung condition, or an aorta condition.
Several things: This is one of those problems where a visit to your doctor is necessary to figure out what's going on. Only after a thorough evaluation, including examination and possibly labs and other tests, can your doctor correctly diagnose you and treat you effectively.

Rib torsion.: Lie down face up. Have friend compress your chest at sternum with downward pressure. See if reproduces pain. Also when experience it try locate it and press hard. If reproduces or increases it probably torsioned rib which is common. We call them rib lesions. If at area where rib stops and cartilage attaches it to sternum that's costochondrits? Sports trainer could check it.

Sharp right sided: chest pain is unlikely to be cardiac especially in an 18 year old. It is most likely related to muscles and bones of the chest. A health care provider will be able to examine you and determine the most likely cause.
