A month ago I ended in the ER with chest pain, doctor said all was fine after blood test, ECG and x-rays, I feel the pain again, could it be anxiety?

Chest pain: From what you say, no one out here in the cloud can tell you its nothing important. On the other hand in a 25 year old female with those previous normal findings, chances are the pain isn't your heart. Anxiety certainly can cause such things. Perhaps seeing your regular doc and working through this is the best thing to get your pain worked through. ...Read more

I have a left side upper chest pain and I noticed coughing up a little bright red blood at morning only. I got X-ray and ECG done. Nothing detected.

Serious symptom: Hemoptysis (coughing up blood) is a serious issue and should not be taken lightly no matter how little it is. I common causes include blood thinners (
if you are taking them), bronchitis (acute and chronic) bronchiectasis, lung cancer, tuberculosis. You should have a discussion with your pcp depending on other symptoms like weight loss, lack of appetite and energy may warrant a ct scan of chest. ...Read more

Chances of arrhythmia with a clear ekg, chest x ray, and blood tests? I know they can go undetected. 18 years old. Feel occasional heart palpitations

Chances of arrhythmia with a clear ekg, chest x ray, and blood tests? I know they can go undetected. 18 years old. Feel occasional heart palpitations

Low: The chances of a significant arrhythmia are very low given your negative test results. Teenagers will often have a bit of flipflop feeling in their chest or palpitation. These are usually normal. The use of energy drinks and chocolate can increase these episodes. Your doctor is best suited to determine the need for further testing, such as 24 hr holter monitoring. ...Read more

Chest pain for 6 mnth since giving birth on all fours Crushing in the middle chest. Ribs/spine hurt to touchand severe back pain. Ecg. Bloods xray clear?

More history: We'll need more history to answer question. Most likely still muscle strain or rib bruising, which shouldn't be dangerous, but thorough history & physical by your physician, should rule out a couple of potentially dangerous causes such as damage to main artery supplying blood from your heart, or blood clot in lungs. Call 911 if pain suddenly worsens, breathless, or dizziness. Otherwise see PCP. ...Read more

Very hard chest pressure and sharp pain for 3 weeks permanently, ecg, blood tests and lung xray are clean. Anti deppressive not working. Sleep works?

Many causes: A 26 year old man with chest pressure and pain, constant and with normal ECG and X-rays but improved with sleep. Chest pain that jumps around chest, sometimes arm and back ECGs Blood and xray clear take propranolol geodon (ziprasidone) and celexa PTSD worried about the mix?

Good Dr?: You are very right to be concerned. Do you feel good about your Dr? Seek the best relationship you can find since the celexa/geodon combo has rare but serious heart risks. Each of the others too have risks - but that 1st is very serious. DO NOT just stop!! That can be bad too. Use your best abilities to work w/ a Dr on this. Consider a psychotherapist to help you thru this and w/ the issues. Best! ...Read more

20 wks pregnant twins, 7 mins walk heart beat goes 180+, chest xray, ecg blood tests fine, dr say just pregnancy causing this, should I be concerned?

Not unusual: It may not be "normal", but it is not unusual to have a high resting heart rate during pregnancy, as the resting metabolic rate has to increase (to pump enough blood for the fetus). Also, the blood volume increases, along with total body water, & these changes place a stress on the heart which responds by pumping faster. The normal reg ECG is reassuring. Rest! Best of luck w/ the pregnancy, & TTYD ...Read more

I have chest pain on my right side when I swallow. It's located in only one spot. Went to er had xray & blood tests. Everything came back normal.??

Throat exam: If symptoms persist, for completeness have a thorough examination of your throat by an Otolaryngologist and also a barium swallow fluroscopic exam of your esophagus. A gastroenterologist can also perform a gastroscopic examination of your esophagus instead but a normal barium swallow examination would be reassuring in your case in my opinion. ...Read more

Careful, normal does: Not=healthy, only common; easily misses what is happening. These tests=commonly done, easier/faster for Doc, yet unlikely relevant to your situation.
