Suffer from breathing trouble, chest pain, fatigue, rapid heart beat, lightheadedness since gallbladder surgery 10/11/12. Could i have/had pnemonia?

Many possibilities: Many possibilities exist. Pneumonia is one, although as a young adult, it's hard to believe you remain afflicted for so long. Blood clots must also be considered in light if the history if surgery as well as your persistent symptoms. Do you have leg pain? How soon after your surgery did you feel these symptoms? These are all questions to be answered in seeing your primary physician asap. ...Read more

Since gallbladder surgery (8mo) mild chest pain, weird breathing, palpitations, a little right arm weakness. cardiac tests normal. Can't get answers. ?

Palpitations: Hi Krodriguez, it seems that you have answers, but they aren't sufficient to explain your symptoms. If you are having palpitations, a holter/event monitor may be helpful. Chat with your doctor in depth about your symptoms. It is likely unrelated to your surgery at this point. Hope that helps. ...Read more

In the meantime you could try taking the pantoprazole twice a day and other reflux prevention techniques. Here's a few: avoid nicotine, mints, alcohol and acidic foods, raise head of bed 2-3 inches. Eat small meals. Don't eat 3 hrs before bedtime Good luck. ...Read more

I had gallbladder surgery 2 months ago so why now instead of hurting on right side, am I having a constant ache on the left side just under the ribs?

Hard to say.: It's not due to an absent gallbladder. Are you constipated..that could lead to some left sided discomfort. Stay well hydrated, eat well (no fat restrictions now), add some yogurt, and talk to your doctor. Good luck. ...Read more

Larascopic gallbladder surgery 4 weeks ago. After 2wks shoulder pain, pain just below ribs on right side and in midback. Could it be a trapped nerve?

Larascopic gallbladder surgery 4 weeks ago. After 2wks shoulder pain, pain just below ribs on right side and in midback. Could it be a trapped nerve?

Check with your doc: If this is newly developing, there sometimes may be fluid collection around the liver after the surgery. There are different things that can lead to this, so difficult to tell you simply hear. But the sensory nerves for that part of the body refer pain to the right shoulder - so the right shoulder pain has to do with the area around the liver. Definitely speak with your physician. ...Read more

Just had gallbladder surgery it's the second day and I'm having pain in right lung, hurts while breathing unless I take pain pills is it normal ?

ProblyTooSoonToKnow: That's a tough one. Could just be the normal post-op reaction, especially since it's just been 2 days. But if it increases or you develop a fever or bad cough, your doctor needs to know. And don't wait if you get short of breath or it feels funny to breathe. It's really important to try and take short walks and take a deep breath every 5-10 minutes, even if it hurts.Watch for leg swelling too. ...Read more

Was told had fatty liver after gallbladder op and now pain in sides and back and chest pain. Is my liver failing?

Depends!: When was your surgery. If it happened in the last 6 weeks, and you are having this type of pain now, you need to call your surgeon or go to the ER. If not, there is some other cause of your symptoms. A failing liver does not usually present with pain. But if you have fatty liver, it won't fail for years.
