Chest pain that won't go away. I take Advil and still have pain in back, chest, shoulder after fall. Can it be heart after 8 months of pain?

Unlikely: Heart issues at your age are rare, especially in light of your fall history. May represent a rib fracture or spine fracture near thoracic nerve root . If not acute changes over the last 8 months, then schedule appointment with your doctor. If a sudden change occurs or shortness of breath develops then report to ER ...Read more

Could chest pain now be related to a fall 3 months ago that led to a partially collapsed lung?

Could chest pain now be related to a fall 3 months ago that led to a partially collapsed lung?

Is it new?: Or has this pain lingered since? You may have a recurrent collapse if this is new. Cracked/fractured rib pain can linger a long time, but that would be the same old pain, so if this is new get a chest x-ray. ...Read more

Position related: Hard to know without the medication you are on. Usually when the arm begins to going on in his position related. Do you have your left arm up over your head or are you laying on it as that is usually the cause. Your blood pressure isn't high enough to worry about tonight so i would try to get back to sleep. Try sleeping with your arm down at your side. ...Read more

I have a sharp right sided chest pain. It isn't constant, i experienced once last night and last week after work. The pain usually last for an hour?

This condition can causing sharp, knife-like pain at areas in the chest wall;however it does not typically last longer than a few seconds. If you have had a "chest cold" recently, another possibility would be pleuritis, or inflammation of the lung lining. See your doc. ...Read more
