Which combination of amino acids produce dystrophin gene?

Which combination of amino acids produce dystrophin gene?

DNA: Genes are made up of nucleic acids called DNA. Those genes are then transcribed into amino acid sequences called proteins. The dystrophin gene is much too large to spell out in a DNA sequence, and its protein is much too large to spell out in an amino acid sequence. Here is a link to some more information on the gene. http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/gene/1756 ...Read more

What are the functions of carbohydrates, lipids, proteins, and nucleic acids in the body?

What are the functions of carbohydrates, lipids, proteins, and nucleic acids in the body?

Replace tissue&Energ: Have U seen dead animal after 2days? UR Stomach lining(which exposd to acid&dig-enzymes) is replaced every 2wks. UR Heart Mscle is replaced every 4-6 mnths Individuals who shed skin cells faster than can replace have Psoriasis, Excema Carbs mainly for energy, but also form backbones of some proteins. 18 inch baby become 6'4", cells did not get bigger, all replaced&more added hundreds of times ...Read more

Are protein and amino acids the same thing if proteins are made of amino acids?

Are protein and amino acids the same thing if proteins are made of amino acids?

Not exactly : Just like you can use wood to build many different styles of houses, but you would not consider a pile of wood and a house to be the same thing, you use Amino acids to build proteins. Depending on which amino acids are present and how they are combined you get different proteins. Amino acids are the simpler building blocks of more complex proteins. ...Read more

What are the vitamins that plays a role in amino acids catabolism?

What are the vitamins that plays a role in amino acids catabolism?

Essentially All: Vitamins are just simple helper molecules present in nearly all foods to extent humans have not maintained every gene/protein needed to make them out of whatever other molecules. Their role is helping specific protein enzymes facilitate specific chemical reactions to progress rapidly at body temp which are otherwise inordinately slow. Unclear what you are asking & the purpose/goal of your question. ...Read more

Are amino acids destroyed by acid?

Are amino acids destroyed by acid?

See below: Amino acids are the building blocks of protein that help form muscles and other body tissue. Essential Amino Acids are those that must be consumed every day to support optimal health. Cooking foods destroys some essential Amino Acids they contain, but the negative effects vary depending on which cooking method is used.Even straight sulfuric acid will not destroy most amino acids. ...Read more

What are the functions of nucleic acids?

What are the functions of nucleic acids?

DNA.: Dna is the nucleic acid that contains all the genetic information. It is transcribed into rna, another nucleic acid when genes are processed to make proteins. Transfer RNA carries Amino Acids to sites where proteins are assembled. Other rnas are involved in controlling which genes are turned on (micro rna) and in the structure of ribosomes. Nas are found in viruses, bacteria, on up to humans. ...Read more

Can amino acids be used by the body to make glucose fatty acids?

Your body wilk: Break down anything and everything it can into basic building blocks and then metabolize them for calories and energy, store them away or use them to manufacture something like carbohydrates, proteins, fats or anything and everything else. There's nothing special about Amino Acids - they're just building blocks that will be broken down like everything else. ...Read more

Does the pancreas treat olestra fatty acids similar to traditional fats/oils? Is the amount of enzymes produced the same in both cases?

Does the pancreas treat olestra fatty acids similar to traditional fats/oils? Is the amount of enzymes produced the same in both cases?

No.: Lipase is the pancreatic enzyme that splits (hydrolyzes) triglycerides in oils into fatty acids and monoglycerides. Lipase does not act on olestra, so olestra leaves the digestive tract undigested. This is why olestra has no usable calories. I do not know the answer to the question about degree of stimulation of lipase secretion by olestra vs. Other fats/oils. ...Read more

What are some foods that contain omega 3 fatty acids?

What are some foods that contain omega 3 fatty acids?

Many: Fish is one of the most well known: such as salmon, tuna, sardines, and halibut; other seafood including algae and krill; some plants like brussels sprouts, kale, spinach, and salad greens ; flax seeds; and walnuts. Some people's systems are not efficient at converting alpha-linolenic acid (ala) from plant-based omega-3's to epa and dha that are needed; for these, fish or krill oil may be better. ...Read more

Which ingredient is the best way fight wrinkles? Retinol, peptides, collagen, stem cells, plancenta, amino acids or vitamin C

Which ingredient is the best way fight wrinkles? Retinol, peptides, collagen, stem cells, plancenta, amino acids or vitamin C

Growth factors: We have known since the 70s that retinoids and retinols are great collagen stimulators (which equals wrinkle fighters). In this century, we developed collagen growth factors which are derived from actual human skin and are necessary for collagen to thrive, thus reducing and eliminating wrinkles. Note i did not say "appearance of wrinkles". Skinmedica is my favorite product to contain these. ...Read more

Are fish the best source of omega-3 fatty acids?

Are fish the best source of omega-3 fatty acids?

Yes: Oily fish are the source of the epidemiological data suggesting health benefits. Other fish have lesser amounts of fish oils. Supplements are variable in their content of epa and dha components, and potential issues of mercury and other contaminants (though not serious issues with reputable sources) have existed. Supplements not truly validated for comparable benefit as fish itself. ...Read more

Which protein shakes have the most amount of amino acids?

Which protein shakes have the most amount of amino acids?

Most protein grams.: The amount of proteins in the shake will define the amount of amino acids in the shake. Amino acids + amino acids = proteins. So the shake with the highest amount of calories from proteins will be the one that has the most amino acids. This does not mean specific amino acids you might be looking for. ...Read more

Which food contain poly amino acid ?

Which food contain <a href="http://www.Alamanda-polymers.Com/content/polyamino-acids-frequently-asked-questions">poly amino acid</a>
 ?

Synthetic: "polyamino acids" are synthetic, and i don't know of any natural foods that contain them. Drug companies use them in research and drug delivery, etc. Of course proteins (that you can eat) are made up of Amino Acids (many of them!) -- so in a sense that would be like a polyamino acid. But it isn't the type the term usually means. ...Read more
